Explore Bogotá's Rich Biodiversity During Living Data 2025
Experience the incredible biodiversity of Bogotá and its surroundings through our exclusive interpretive tours during Living Data 2025. These guided educational excursions offer conference participants a unique opportunity to explore Colombia's natural heritage, from urban wetlands to high-altitude páramos, while learning about local ecosystems and conservation efforts.
All interpretive tours are free of charge for Living Data 2025 conference participants, but space is limited to 30 participants per tour. Registration is processed on a first-come, first-served basis with a small waitlist maintained before closing registration.

Entrenubes District Ecological Mountain Park
During the tour, you'll learn about eco-efficiency processes, sustainability, climate change mitigation and adaptation through recognition of the Juan Rey Environmental Classroom scenario, biodiversity associated with high Andean forest and sub-páramo ecosystems, and the ecosystem importance of being part of the Eastern Hills ecological corridor.

Santa María del Lago District Wetland Reserve
During the tour, you'll learn about the importance of wetland ecosystems for the Main Ecological Structure, as well as the possibility of wildlife watching represented by birds, mammals, herpetofauna, and arthropods.
La Vaca District Wetland Reserve
One of the most successful examples of amphibious wetland ecosystem recovery in Colombia, it is now a reservoir of animal and plant species and an environmental classroom socially appropriated by its neighboring community "los querientes del humedal la vaca" (those who love La Vaca wetland).
Santa Ana - La Aguadora Reserve
The transition between introduced forests and the representative high Andean forest ecosystem defines this trail where you can ascend to over 3,000 meters and enjoy a section that combines the natural and cultural resources of the Eastern Hills.
Sumapaz National Natural Park
Considered the largest páramo in the world and part of Bogotá's 20th locality, it houses in its heart the sacred lagoon of Los Tunjos (center of the world). It is also habitat to a great variety of endemic plant and animal species waiting for you.
